| Sokcho has had an outlet for a couple years. I pass it a couple times a day (never been in) & it never appears very busy. My students are decidedly hohum about it. |
I want to comment on that because I ate there a few times when I was in Sokcho and it was always completely dead (however, go to the McDonald's in Itaewon any time of day and it's always packed). In Sokcho, the MD's was also the only McDonald's I've seen in Korea with a drive thru. But, it's situated between this small, Children of the Corn like amusement park near the water and the most dead "mall" you will ever see in your life across the street. That cool, crazy spiral building is close, and there is a nice park around there. My ladyfriend and I went to that mall mid-day, middle of the tourist season, and after slowly walking through the downstairs, mostly clothing area of the mall where there were ZERO employees, a bunch of freaky manikins and other weird random shit, we went upstairs to the food court... where there were also no customers and the entire ajumma staff was sitting where the customers would be sitting; and when we entered that upstairs room, they ceased all conversation and starred at us like zombies ready to chase us down and eat us. It was eerie. But downtown Sokcho is worth a visit during the summer. I've never been stared at more in my life walking down the street, but a bunch of girls ran up to us at one point and asked if we were celebrities. So, maybe they were stares of envy lol.
Oh, yeah... it's nice that McFat's now has BBQ sauce. I rarely go to McD's but I've been fine with the sweet an sour sauce so I never even thought about it. I guess it's a good thing, baby steps. |

| I saw a drive-thru McD's down in Pyeongtaek. They are very rare here, though. |

| Lotteria Koreanizes their burgers too much. Expected since it is a Korean chain, but everything is too sweet. Not a huge McD's fan but I'll always prefer it over Lotteria. |

I've seen 2 McDonald's with drivethrus here in Incheon.
And I agree about Lotteria. I only eat their chicken fingers and seasoned fries every now and then.
LOL @ eating any burger from there. |
