|
|
I'm planning on catching the airport shuttle from Busan to Incheon International Airport next Friday night at about 10:30pm. I and a coworker have attempted to get a reservation but apparently my card won't work and if she made the reservation for me I would have to present her card before I got on the bus... kinda stupid, eh? Why not just give me a damn confirmation number like any other ticket/e-ticket... sigh.
Anway, she says I should be able to catch the bus without a reservation that night or one of the first few the next morning and still make it to the airport to catch my flight at 1:45pm Saturday (the next morning). Does this sound possible? I've never taken the shuttle before but I've heard it's cheap and I'm trying to do this trip home as cheaply as freaking possible. |

Take the train from Busan to Incheon, problem solved. It only costs 5.00 US and takes a half hour. I think it runs every half hour.
If you use a credit card to purchase a plane ticket you have to present the credit card that was used. In the USA it's a federal law and probably a law everywhere else. |

What planet are you on where a train from Busan to Incheon is only 5,000 won and takes 30 minutes? |

Dude, you have so many options it's silly to worry about it.
Take the KTX to Seoul station. Crash at a motel/jimjilbang and get the airport train from Seoul station to Incheon the next morning (~1 hour, runs every 15 minutes or so). You could also take one of the slow trains if you're pinching pennies.
Go to the Busan bus station, literally anytime you feel like it. Get a bus to Seoul (I think they run all night, and they certainly run till very late). Crash in Seoul and make your way to the airport the next morning.
Get up early and catch an airport bus.
I hate to sound like a * but you registered in 2003 and still need help with this kind of stuff? |

I've been in Busan this whole time and rarely go to Seoul. When I do go to Seoul, it's not to the airport. When I fly out I usually leave from Gimhae (Busan Int'l) but I scored a relatively cheap and short flight from Incheon so this change in my routine has me a bit flummoxed. |

You could always fly! It might not be all that much more expensive than the train or bus and it would save you having to pay for a place to stay. |

KTX to Seoul Station then shuttle bus to Incheon.
OR
Express Bus from Busan to Incheon, typically no reservations needed.
OR
Fly from Gimhea to Incheon (not that expensive). |

This was a post from year 2020 - the cost of transportation will drop significantly, while the speed of trains will cause today's KTX to appear like a turtle in comparison^^ |
