How often do you drink soju? |
It's my go-to drink of choice. I rarely drink anything else. |

I know a poll was done a few years ago about people's opinions of soju, but I'm curious how often foreigners here drink the stuff... at least compared to other drinks. |

Used to, in situations drinking with Koreans, but I decline now.
Fun at the time but nasty-tasting & not worth the aftereffects. |

It makes me sneeze, but I suck it up for social reasons. |

Never, ever, ever bought it for myself. I've bought it to drink with Korean friends or with my students at the university festivals etc. In fact, this week was the first time I had soju since last December at the staff party where I was drinking with some Korean admin staff.
It's nasty stuff, but I tolerate it to preserve a convivial atmosphere. |

i think soju is like alot of things, people do it because others do. I cant imagine how you could aquire a taste for something thats like lighter fuel and is probably as healthy to drink.
i can honestly say, ive never walked into a bar, looked at the menu and thought 'oh, i really fancy the taste of soju in my mouth today'. |

Once when I first got here and never again. You can get pretty decent wine here now for around the same as it costs in my country so why on earth would you ever want to drink that gut rot during meals? In a barbecue place I'll have baeksoju which isn't too bad |

It's nasty and how do people smell the next day when they sweat it out? Nasty. The worst beer is better than soju. |

It depends what kind of soju and how it is served but typically, not very often (in Korea or Canada now).
Certain kinds of soju or Korean liquors go very well with K-bbq for example.
As for just drinking it...I was never big on it. |

I stopped drinking soju years ago. No redeeming qualities whatsoever in that drink. |

A whole lot of "babo mal" going on up in here. Soju is the Nectar of the Gods. Soju goes well with everything. Next, we'll have people talking nonsense about bun-dae-gi not being delicious. Kid these days! Hrumph.. |

Don't think my input conforms to the choices. I go with a little soju when we have a meat or sashimi feed. That's it. Sometimes once a week, sometimes once a month. Rarely if ever drink it at home unless, well, we're having a meat feed! |
