I've been seeing a Korean girl for a few weeks, she's really busy with exams and work so I want to do take her somewhere nice on the weekend to ease the stress but sadly she has basically been my tour guide so everywhere I know that's good I found out about through her, so I thought I'd ask you guys for some unobvious but good places/restaraunts to take a girl in Seoul

An all-ajussi drinking po-cha tent. You'll get a warm welcome I'm sure.

She will eat anything, but I think Western food, Italian or French would be more interesting as I know she's never really tried it

Hooker Hill in Itaewon.

Act really disgusted and how you hate women like that.

Then head down to Helios and also note how you "hate women like that'...

That will prove to her that you are only interested in "Good Girls", so she'll be able to satisfy her sociological desire to at least prove she's a good girl, and that's she not one of "those types" of girls....

You know, the Korean social misfit types who tend to gravitate toward foreigners because we don't judge them the way K-guys do...

So, once that's out of the way, you and her can safely throw off all the social pretenses now that you've established your virtuosity, and hit the DVD Bang or your local "Happy Eros Sexy Story" Love Motel.

If you want somewhere special and don't mind dropping some cash, a course meal at a hotel restaurant would certainly impress (though it'd be more than some cash you'd be dropping). Just Google "luxury Seoul hotels" and pick one close to you. The websites have lists of restaurants and you can always call if you have questions.

If that's too pricey (I wouldn't blame you), what part of Seoul are you in/like to go to? I'm sure we can be of more help with more information.

Most of us prefer a classier setup, Dodge, but whatever works for you!

She's a student, so she's not going to be fronting any bills. The more you open your wallet, the more you can get out of her until she loses interest and moves on.

If she's Korean, then she most likely has tried very little food from other countries besides burgers and pasta. I think that's more interesting for Koreans than a nice pasta restaurant.

Itaewon for some Thai then dessert at Tartine is nice. Otherwise you can drop ~22 bucks each for lunch at the Saint Ex or go to Zelen. Another option is Din Tai Fong in Myeongdong.

Otherwise you can go to the figurine paiting cafe (Mustoy) in hongdae, you can walk around the area with old houses north of Insadong, Seoul Fortress off from Dongdaemen/Daehangno, good old Yoeido, building 63 aquarium + top of the tower, aquarium + movie in COEX.

You could always lay down a bit more dough for a nice day trip/2 day trip. Sokcheo is doable in a day by bus or you can take the subway to Nami island for visiting around and then go to Ttalkgalbi street in Chuncheon.

If you have any suggestions for me, I'll take em.

Buam-dong is quite nice. It has a bunch of great cafes, including club espresso (one of the best place for coffee beans), and is nice in this weather. It's a little north of Jongno so you'll get a really nice view of the down town area in the evening.

West of Gyeongbuk palace is Seocheon which is also quite nice.

There's a nice park a little north of the area as well.

Both neighbourhoods are not exactly upscale, but they've been good day trips for the girlfriend and I. If you're looking for something a little nicer, Daehakno or Samcheongdong may be a better idea.

They are much busier though.
