I'm living in the area right now and not familiar with the restaurants.

In particular, I'm curious about places where I could easily get a good meal by myself. Even though the food might be better, not so interested in Korean group restaurants. But if there's one you really love, please mention.

I've found some small, independent Korean restaurants in the neighborhood.

But any specific recommendations beyond this are really valued!

There's 2 japanese restaurants which are quite acceptably good at very reasonable prices. Apart from that the bulgogi place next to the baseball thing is pretty good. Kinda famous for dog meat, but I'm not that sure where.

Apart from that it's pretty much all standard Korean food.

Go into naver and search got 서울대입구역 맛집 pretty much

Well, I know how to find restaurant listings. And standard Korean places are fine (barring 개고기) More just interested in any specific recommendations for places to get lunch by myself. Most better Korean restaurants don't offer single portion meals.

I've eaten at Hakoya a couple times, but it's mostly just ramen and deep fried foods. Fine on occasion, but not very healthy.

That's not the right one.

하나 next to the subway/coldstone. I got the sashimi bowl which was 12k or so and quite good and a bowl of chicken which was also quite good and cheaper.

The other one is an hanja, but it's next to 은갈치 a bit further south on the other side of the street. Right past the big government building.

The 새마을식당 has the bulgogi, next to the baseball thing. I like 유가내 also, though its a chain.

If you're willing to walk, you can get good 뼈해장국 next to The Bear on the road that goes down from the SNU dorms. It's the cheapest way to get a good serving of meat. It's similar to gamjatang, but with more meaty part and almost no vegetables. Comes with rice for 5k.
