I didn't know that site existed. What the hell am I looking at?

I believe they are mostly Koreans or of Korean heritage who write about 'evil foreigners', in English, while earning a paycheck/living of the state outside Korea.

Not just ESL folk. Chinese, Black, White, Japanese, Indian etc. They aren't fond of anyone, despite not loving the mother country enough to live there. Have a gander through the older posts Very Happy

They are truly something.....I was going to say sad, or pathetic, but I think they are kind of just despicable people. Kind of what I expect a skinhead forum to be like, I guess. They despise everyone that does not fit their little narrow acceptable demographic.

What I don't quite understand is their hatred being spread in English. I'd imagine if this was some skinhead (neo-nazi types) forum then they'd do it in their native language and probably while living in their native country.

That would certainly make more sense.

You seem to lack the basic understanding that I don't like racists. I get my fill of it here, why would I also register at another site for it.

So is Korean Sentry like an anti-waygook site? Why the hell is it in English?

My best guess is that it's in English because they want as many as possible

of us to read it and flee the land of mourning clams.

I guess a secondary reason would be to show off their English language

abilities.

My guess it that they're probably ethnic Koreans but can't speak or write much of the language, or as well as they do in English.

Cunts either way

I found the comments so telling. Someone criticizes Korea and their response is: "I wonder if we can find out where this guy lives and works."Confused

The AES is alive and well.

That place korensentry is hilarious. ESL teachers get it easy, they save their real rath for the mail order brides and Japanese.

And they turn on each other at the drop of a hat. If one of them offers a slightly moderate line, for example, the Korean government shouldn't develop nuclear weapons and then bomb Beijing, all the others start accusing that person of being an "illegal immigrant".

One person suggested that the Korean language shared some common elements with Tamil. That person was banned as an "Indian agent" working to infiltrate and steal Korean culture as their own.

There are only about 10 active users and the majority of them suffer from some form of mental illness I would say.

Not the will of your God...how do you know what the will of your God is?

However, it is certainly not the will of gravity.
Maybe that might have more to do with this moon touching stunt.

Keep contributing though.
Perhaps it is the will of your God to keep amusing us.
And we are amused.

Sounds like Daves but with three times as many active members. Not sure that's a good thing.

I've always wondered if it was some sort of satire site or whether the posts are actually meant to be taken seriously.

Aside from that, Dokdo Time is great for Korean news satire - though it is seldom updated these days.

There's probably a lot more of that (WAY more), it's just that we don't see it and hence don't know about.

My (smart) Korean friend told me the higher a Korean's English level, the less likely they are to be racist. He told me most of the hardcore racists living in Korea can speak Korean only, and have little to no English ability.

How many anti Mexican immigration people type in Spanish about how Mexicans shouldn't come to the United States? Not too many.

Classroom discipline is a subtle art and it's hard to explain.

It's about your Aura. You need to appear as an Authority figure and serious. Never ever joke about anything. I don't care what other people say, I've read a lot of articles about "bonding" with students with jokes. Doesn't work all the time and it can damage your reputation. Avoid all jokes. Don't joke about student, yourself, or the material. Once you start joking, you set the tone so it's ok to joke. And you remove any seriousness.

I know this post to several months old but I just got to respond. Never joke? That is absurd. It's totally fine to occassionally joke around with your students after they already respect you. If you have a co teacher at your school that the students like see how they treat the students. the co teacher my students like the most can get them in line in just a moment's notice if the class has gotten too noisy or anything but he can also make the entire class laugh with just a comment.

I just really think it's crazy to never be lite with them.[/b]
