I applied to GEPIK about three weeks ago through a couple of different recruiters. I've only had one job referred to me so far, and it filled before they could get the interview scheduled. One of my recruiters commented that "the August positions are opening up," and she was hopeful that she'd find a job for me soon. I have a hagwon offer on the table from a school with a good location and seems decent. I'm inclined to take it, but I'd greatly prefer a GEPIK job if I could get one (I'm light on the credentials, but have glowing Letters of Reference and believe that I can prove myself if I can make it to an interview, for what it's worth).

All that aside, my question is about how far out do they usually interview and hire for GEPIK fall positions? Is it too early to give up on GEPIK?

I think most of GEPIK hiring is this week and next week. They hire later than EPIK because you get hired by the school not the POE. I would not give up now if you have your documents in hand .
