Is it typical to expect a lot of hours from the job offers I get from hagwons in Seoul? For example 11am-8pm.
I'm looking for a job in Seoul and I have a friend who is teaching in Icheon who says that she only works 6 hour days and that in Seoul it is common to work the 8-9 hour days.
I would like some feedback before I make any decisions. Working in Seoul is important to me for many reasons, and if I have to make the sacrifice of working longer hours then so be it. I would just like some feedback. Why do you think it is or isn't worth it?
I'm beginning to feel like it is imposible to get a hagwon position in Seoul without getting screwed over in one way or another. |

It seems like those sorts of jobs would be (semi)split shifts, in other words you won't actually be working for 9 hours but your classes are spread throughout those hours. |
