|
Hi guys, I've been searching South, Korea's ISP on the web and on their websites e.g. KT, LG, C&M and SK and their plan is just stated 100Mb and I only found one helpful link with a plan on SK: http://www.skbroadband.com/eng/iproduct/evalley.asp, I would like to upgrade my internet speed, I want more upload even the download is not that great.
My current ISP is C&M with 2 years contract and here is my speedtest: http://speedtest.net/result/2711635675.png |

I have the KT 100MB plan, about 30k a month, I usually get 40 MB/s on uploads and downloads when I do speed tests, although when downloading torrents the fastest I've ever seen was about 10mb/s, usually seems to cap around 2-3 mb/s, which is ok with me. |

KT FTTH Qook Special (or whatever it is called these days)
roughly 35,000 per month 100 megabit up AND down
cheaper if you bundle your mobile kt phone with it
you can compare plans here http://www.isponline.co.kr/
korean speedtest here (ie only) http://speed.nia.or.kr/
my nia speedtest http://www.imagebam.com/image/e2a6fe259158849
I have had this at two premises for more than one year and it has been excellent
however, international server speed is poor (same for all korean companies) and bittorrent is likely heavily managed on the upload, korean peers can max out the up connection, but certainly not international ones
also note that not all companies can supply all premises
for example, at my previous residence lg could only supply 100/50,
while kt could supply 100/100
i didn't contact sk
it depends on the area and type of building
and i guess how close the fibre is
my previous kt 100/100 connection had a lan cable coming through the window frame from the telegraph pole out on the street |
