|
|
I was wondering if anyone has had success opening their ports on their LG U+ internet. It works great a lot of the time, even with the ports closed, but some things are dreadfully slow. I get 5+ mg/s if a torrent is well seeded, which is much faster than my old internet. But less seeded torrents seem to poke along at 200 - 300 kb/s which is slower than my old internet (when I say less seeded I mean less than 200). And sometimes all the torrents slow down regardless.
I have tried to go into my router settings and open ports, but it doesn't seem to work and my Korean is not great (or maybe I should say BECAUSE my Korean is not great). Has anybody had luck with this? |

could be throttling by lg
i have kt so i can't say
try a glasnost test
http://broadband.mpi-sws.org/transparency/bttest.php
see what that says
then try forcing encryption in your torrent client
also be aware that international connections aren't great in korea |
