In all seriousness, I'm wondering what exactly is going on. I live near SNU station, and if I go out after 1 am, I often see a grey van stop and a pretty girl dressed with unusual flair get in. I've seen this in different places, at different times. Inside, there are other girls. I've even seen the van stop to let some get off and visit a convenience store. Are the girls really prostitutes? They look like ordinary - but prettier than average - Korean girls, only dressed not quite right for a date.

I've seen entire buses full of them around certain parts of Seoul. Ever see them on a "theme" night? I've seen them get off the bus wearing Disney Princess costumes and other times all dressed like schoolgirls. It all depends on what the man with the money wants.

Most adult entertainment places provide their girls with this type of "safe" transport. It keeps them safe from stalkers etc. I've heard that the "fee" is deducted from their pay, however the cost ends up being roughly the same as a taxi, and since most of these girls get off work after the subways close, it makes more sense for them to use the "ho transport" service.
