What a disgusting thing to do. Japan has the weird, disgusting, revolting habits thing locked down. If it comes to Korea, I'm leaving.

"A strange trend among Japanese school-aged children and teens -- licking a friend or lover's eyeballs -- may be perplexing, but experts are more worried about the germs they are potentially spreading..."

It doesn't seem that disgusting. I mean, if you think about, sticking your tongue down someone's throat could be equally yucky.

Ehh... I don't know about that. Getting the deep French on is the starting point and a stimulating act. The tongue is a powerful stimulant on most parts of the body, but eyeballs?. Obviously, I've never licked anyone's eyeball, but I have my doubts that there's much stimulation in that. The Japs have all kinds of crazy sexual stuff like this going on. I hear they're also shaving their teeth to look like vampires again... Very Happy

I don't know what would be worse. Being forced to lick someone's eyeball or being forced to have your eyeball licked. Its so gross..

Guys, do you have any reason to think this is real? This sounds a lot like similar bullstuff American "trends" such as the alco-tampon, eyeball shots, and blowing Pixie Stix. Note that there isn't a single Japanese person on record regarding this, instead A) a music video followed by B) a blog post. Hell, we could start some crazy rumors about Koreans, if that's all we need. Zackback?

Japan is a unique culture, and it's not really that "popular". There are a plethora of trends in Japan that apply to separate cliques.

There's the MOE scene, There's the Host/Hostess clique, There's traditional businessmen, People obsessed with Zen, Forlorn wanting samurai etc etc.

We don't culture associate fetishes, so I wouldn't really categorize this as Japanese. Rather it exists exclusively in Japan. (Though not to certainty)

It would be like a Korean saying that they saw TOSH.O's video about guys dressing as furries and calling it an American Fetish. While furries do exist in America, it doesn't really cognate with popular culture.

Common enough opinion though. Tentacles though, I would actually consider culturally relevant because of the history associated with it. Another story for another day.
