Hopefully I can get a GEPIK position nearby.
How is it???
Any current GEPIK teachers in/near Gwacheon? How about Anyang?

I am not a teacher here (I work at a company in Gangnam), but I live in Indeogwon, which is real close to Gwacheon and is a part of Anyang. Anyang can be quite nice if you like shopping and Pyeongchon has a few department stores that also will have most, if not all, of what you are looking for in terms of goods. The best part is that it's real close to Seoul so you can just go to Seoul whenever. IMO, it's one of the best places to live in Gyeonggi-Do. |

^ Why did you choose to live around Indeogwon? I know there's an express bus to Gangnam, but that area is such a dump. I used to work around there in Anyang (never lived there, though). I feel like I've seen a decent amount of Anyang after getting lost there a bunch of times. I thought it was a newer area before I worked there and some newish spots seemed to be popping up, but from what I saw, it looked really old, dirty and generally unappealing. I guess it's close to Seoul, but it seemed like a really dumpy place from what I saw. |

I'll be honest, Indeogwon imo itself is a dump ("massage" rooms, clubs for older folks, and some other weird stuff strewn about everywhere), but I live with family there (can't complain about rent-free accommodations) and it is more of a temporary residence until I find a more permanent residence in Seoul. As a result, I get out to the Anyang station area and Beomgye/Pyeongchon whenever I have time. Which, as an employee at a Korean company, isn't very often. |

And the further you get away from Indeogwon station, the more it's just like any other Korean neighborhood. |
