|
|
Today I had my Korean friend helping me on the social integration
course web site. We were looking at locations in Seoul for me to register for the course.
He pointed out to me that a location is provided but that the course seems to be online.
I am confused. Can the social integration course be done online???
Thanks!!! |

Yes it can, but very few people I know have taking it online. Most people prefer to do it on-site in a classroom with others. |

If this is possible, I would love to take the course online. |

I was one of the lucky few who got registered to take it online. Every other possibility in my area would have meant either a 45 minutes express bus ride every Saturday, or a location right in front of my home that would have been 5 hours on Sat, 5 on Sunday (goodbye summer weekend trips), or otherwise at times conflicting with work.
According to what is shows on my login info, the online class is done out of Seoul, and there are only 2 options for that, both only accepting only 5 people |

Coralreefer, what do you think of the effectiveness of the online course in comparison to the offline? do you follow the same book? also how do they check the attendance?
thanks in advance |

How do you sign up for this class? I logged in to that kiip.kr website, but everything is in Korean and my Korean g/f couldn't even find it. |

how was the class? very curious how it is done online. mine was rejected afterall . apparently they prioritise females who have just given birth or live very far from a centre |

I was as well. the main reason I signed up for it is because I'm having surgery on my knee to remove some bone spurs and scar tissue in a few weeks, so I will be handicapped as far as mobility is concerned for awhile. I was hoping to avoid going up and down three flights of stairs on weekends when there are practically NO handicapped-equipped buses running...but I was told to just wait until the next session after I recover (something I cant do because my student visa will expire before I could finish the course)
However, after the person running the course consulted with immigration, apparently wheelchair bound people are also not allowed to take that course. Which leads me to wonder are they doing something to verify the women who register for the class are actually "pregnant"? |
