|
|
A few weeks ago I sent my CBC, original diploma, sealed transcripts and an old notarized copy of my diploma that had previously been sent to the Korean Embassy (which was approved and stamped a year ago).
My CBC came back with the appropriate stamp and approval, but they returned my transcripts, unopened, and the copy of the diploma with nothing on it...no new stamp. They also didn't send any sort of explanation or refund for the cost of approving the diploma.
Am I to assume the diploma was rejected because it was an old copy that was notarized a year ago? Even though that same copy was approved by them a year ago?
Seems silly to make you go through the time, effort and expense to get a brand new copy notarized when they already approved the old one.
Perhaps its not rejected? Since it was approved before, maybe another copy wasn't required?
If it matters, I taught in Korea from 2006-2010. |

They didn't stamp it because there was already a stamp on it from a year ago. That old stamp never expires.
Why stamp something 2 times? |

I hope you are right.
Would be nice if they sent some sort of confirmation.
But why would they send the transcripts back? Unopened. |

Why would they open the transcripts? They already verified a set when they gave you the stamp one year ago. |

Korean Immigration doesn't require transcripts for visas. They require notarized and apostilled degree copies for degree verification. |

If it has a Korean embassy stamp of approval/certification it doesn't need an apostille (must be Canadian). Canada is not a signatory to the apostille treaty.
