So, all of these Ohello and T-Wifi hotspots I see, they have nothing to do with SIM cards or phone contracts... right? Are they independent WiFi providers you can have a contract with regardless of whether or not you have a registered smartphone or a WiFi tablet?
I've been getting by with Kakao Talk on a Galaxy Player for the past two years and am thinking I might get an actual Skype number too for my phone. Access to a fairly widespread WiFi network would make this a better idea though than just going between work and home networks. |

You can use them whether you use their SIM or not - you just have some free MB if you do have their SIM. But you can also pay to use it on a tablet, a non-provider SIM, etc.
I think they ARE part of the network (e.g. OllehWiFi is part of KT), but they do not force that network's SIM to be used to access the WiFi |

you have to register with KT (Olleh) or SK(T-wifi) if you want to use their networks. Only costs 8,000 per month and you can cancel anytime.
Fine for browsing internet, safari but obviously not going to get anywhere downloading movies and the likes. |
