Offically it's only 2 weeks but the vacations I only work half a day. Unoffically there are plenty of oppourtunties for extra bits of time off if you build up a good relationship.

*yawn* Been there, done that. When winter vacation comes, the school will be quiet alright. Hell, I had trouble getting HEAT in the room, let alone noise.

Only 2 weeks off in the winter? That's not very much...

I teach at a girls middle school. Yesterday I taught 2 students classes in the morning and one teachers class in the afternoon. Today I had one students class in the morning and will have one teachers class this afternoon.

Gee, life's tough.

If I renew with EPIK this year, I might get up to 5 weeks off in the summer, but that has jack to do with kind of relationship I have with my school...

crazylemongirl, your situation sounds below average in regards to vacation time and work hours compared to other people I have spoken to in the EPIK program...then again, your working for your school individually and not through the EPIK program, right?

Yeah I'm not with the EPIK programme. However looking at salaries I make more than I would in EPIK so it balances out.

there are hidden incentives in epik depending upon where you are (ie. supplementary classes, special teacher and student training)........with the base of 2.3 this year i will make an additional 4.5 million to 5 million depending if i want to work or not.........
