Is there any way to get a galaxy phone unlocked so that you can put a sim card in from another country/network?

It used to be that you could punch in a number and override the settings. Not sure if you can do that with these modern phones?

Any help much appreciated.

All phones released after 2011 are supposed to be unlocked: country-unlocked AND carrier-unlocked, whether you fully paid up the installments on the device or not.
