Once you receive your visa issuance number, is it still possible for the E2 visa application to be rejected once you submit it to the local Korean Consulate? Thanks! |

Usually, no.. But the way Korea works is anyone can make any decision at any time. So, while it is possible, it is highly unlikely. |

Well once you have the VIN you are pretty much half way done.
But a visa can be canceled if an E2 teachers does not register in he 90 days from start or fails a health check.
Do not forget the employer side too. The employer could decide to not hire you or fire you right off the bat. |

Yeah, getting the VIN is really most of the battle, so I wouldn't worry too much about it getting rejected at the Consulate level.
But I think that technically, yes, it could be rejected. After all, you have to submit some paperwork including a visa application and health check, so if some of the answers aren't good to them (like the one asking if you've had previous problems with Immigration or if you have a drinking or mental problem), then of course they would think twice about just stamping a visa in your passport.
But if everything is in order and you fill out all of the paper work correctly and send the correct money amount, I don't see why there would be any issue. |

Technically, it can be. The consulate does have the final say in issuance of a visa
BUT
in practice, if a visa issuance number has been given then no, the consulate won't usually reject an application unless there is some significant issue that is brought to their immediate attention (like being stoned out of your mind when you make your application).
