No idea, but the guy was clearly talking about ball games in Korea, There was nothing about that post that said he might be talking about anything outside of Korea.

Just desperate face saving by someone who struggles with reading comprehension.

Oh, totally. I read it as baseball games in Korea too... but then again, it's been 30+ years since I went to a game in the US. So I thought maybe I just didn't know.

No cheerleaders at baseball games, but some fans wear less than that sometimes.. Arizona has a pool in the outfield, and they allow people in bikinis in there every game..

Jeez. Never been to, or even seen a baseball game on tv in my life. When someone mentions baseball I think of the US. Sorry for that assumption. I'm an idiot if that makes you happy. Rolling Eyes I assume you know what half time entertainment is at a test match without looking it up?

Quick note to avoid you further angst, grief and frustration: they (whomever they actually are) will not ask your permission (or the permission of any Korean) to use CCTV to film you (or any other person)in subways, malls, airports, bus terminals, train stations, around the city, at ATMs, in cetrain stores and restaurants, in banks, in many stores, in most department stores...the list goes on and on.

As I'm sure you're aware, class rooms are not the same kind of place as the ones you mentioned above and should be be dealt with more sensitively. Most schools that do introduce them into class rooms do so after debating the idea and gaining consent from the teaching staff. I don't think they are required to do this legally but it's obviously the best policy for the smooth running of the school.

Now that I agree with. A school that uses CCTV in its classes needs to make that clear to applicants and new hires. If a school does decide to install such cameras, then they should, for good work relation's sake, inform the staff in advance and explain their reasons. In general terms, CCTV cams in classrooms are beneficial for teachers if some issue occurs in the classroom because the footage will show what actually happened instead of relying in the students story and the teachers story.

I wish people would stop bring up cheerleaders.

Performers in general must expect to be photographed or oggled at. They made a conscious decision to be performers.

People going about their own private business is something different.

You don't do private business in public.

For the record, I do not believe it is cool to photograph anyone without their permission, be they fully clad or not.

Having said that, however, I think it would be a good prank to pretend that you are snapping pics of girls at Haeundae Beach, in full view of the cops. When they go to check your camera/smart phone, all they find are previously stored pics of women in 1920's era bathing suits.

Yes that would be fun, although many Korean women dress like that nowadays to bathe in the sea. Also, maybe it's the act of pointing a camera at a woman in a bathing suit which they find most distressing. Not the actual photo stored on the camera. In the same way that armed robbery with a replica is treated the same as with a real gun. I suppose taking and storing photos are separate crimes.

Well, yeah, I would not want to creep the girls out, because no one likes to be gawked at, even if it is a pair of binoculars instead of a camera. I meant the picture taking motion to be obvious to the cops, not the women. And I doubt they would mistake the 1920s pic with present day Korean women.

But I would not have the guts to do even that for fear they would not find it amusing.

I wonder if Google Glass will catch on, and if it does, will people be allowed to wear it at the beach? I would guess that it would be a no no.

think this has been said before here but the hypocrisy of the Koreans going after foreigners for doing this after all the shots they take of western women at mudfest etc is amazing

its the double standard that its ok for koreans to do/have something but wrong for us waygooks is what really bothers me.
