I have read the other thread but it did not fully answer my question.

Can anyone recommend an online TEFL course that satisfies these qualifications:

1) 100% Online
2) Can do the whole course on my own pace (I don't want to submit one assignment, wait, get a new one).
3) Accredited (or whatever is required to be valid)
4) 100-120 hours

Thanks for the help.

1) lots of them.
2) most of them.
3) NONE of them.
4) lots of them.

Also: If you want it for work in a public school then be aware that EPIK, as of the Sept 2013 intake, now requires that your TEFL have a minimum of 20 hours "in-class".

If you are looking for work in a hagwon they are NOT necessary. Save your money.

Thanks for the response.

I'm looking everywhere on the website you gave me, but I can't find anywhere on their website stating that.

Is this website wrong then? http://www.icaltefl.com/index.php/community-about/the-ical-blog/1164-changes-to-epik-requirements

However, starting from the Fall 2013 term, when we recommend candidates to the POE/MOEs we will give a priority to the applicants possessing a minimum 100 hour TEFL or TESOL with at least a 20 hour offline, in-class component, as opposed to those who only completed a strictly online course. We strongly advise you to take the TEFL or TESOL programs including at least a 20 hour offline, in-class component. However, Busan will only acknowledge TESOL/TEFL certificates that contain at least a 60 hour offline, in-class component.

EPIK website, click what's new, bulletin #246 dated 2012-08-01.

Yes. The TEFL seller website is somewhat misleading but they are selling cheap TEFL certs.

It is not wrong, but the words need to be stronger. By the way, I got my TEFL recently from that website. It was ok - wish the course was a little longer - only 5 modules. I felt there could have been a 6th or 7th and then I would feel like I got my money's worth. Also the grading system they use seems a little non-specific, like the teacher can assign any grade they feel like, there is no standard grading process. However, the tutor was fantastic (I'll happily pass on his name if you decide to go with this course).

So what do I mean by stronger?
The sentence should be this. "While having a TEFL is considered optional by Epik, they put more weight on candidates whom have in-class experience in their tefl, then candidates with just a tefl, and very lastly, candidates with no tefl. If you want to have the best shot with getting a job in Epik, you really should look for a TEFL with a 20-hour practicum".

I got my TEFL just recently because I was a lucky one, getting into Epik at a weird time, and secured my job before hiring opened for the next semester. I didn't have my TEFL then, and the next year it became more important to have one. So I skirted under the wire! I decided to get mine recently because I wanted more pay next year.
