Hah. A joke thread about the whole metric-Imperial thing that pitted America vs. the world has somehow morphed into the apologist vs. basher war.

Dude, seriously?
Crescent I would say leans on the critical side of things, though not as much as some more regular critics. Zyzyfer is rather moderate.
Crescent, as one of the core apologists, I officially repudiate you as ever having any allegiance with us. An act, you no doubt will readily endorse.
Seriously, I had quite the chuckle when I saw all of this. |

| OK, Cresent is not an apologist then. (Only some of the time.) Who cares. My point is, many people (who are not moderate) claimed to be moderate. Including zyzyfer. He is one of the most annoying posters on here, and he is also more on the apologist side. Definitely. |

Again with the 'who cares'? Um, you brought it up, Bubba. You aren't a very introspective person, are you? You have been compelled to label people from your very first days here. Look what you did to this thread.
If anything, Zyzyfer's contributions often diffuse and bring levity to threads heading into the abyss. Being smart, you should recognize that. Hopefully he shows up to raise the bar on this one. |

| Whatever. To me they are extremely annoying. I get dumber from reading their posts. But maybe others (on a similar intelligence level) enjoy their posts. I don't. And I also know it is a waste of time to engage with losers...yet somehow I find myself responding. I'm trying to quit...I know, I know. |

Wait a minute. Didn't you just say on the last page that you were not familiar with my posts? Somehow that tied me to being an apologist... and now I'm just plain annoying and a loser?

Don't worry, WT; in three weeks when my vacation is up and I'm no longer in front of a computer editing or compiling my coursebook, my posting frequency will drop right off, and then you can claim that you "scared me off," and you'll be all comfortable and warm and happy again. Until the next person disagrees with you on something, and then you have to start a whole new feud all over again, with all the labeling and insults and searching post histories for random crap that goes along with it. |

I think most threads on gen discussion/off topic forums seem to turn into apologist vs basher wars. Only the first several posts are on topic and then it all goes downhill. |

That is true. There are only a handful of people on here that post regularly these days. You get the new or reincarnations popping up sporadically, but it is mostly same old same old. I've posted way more than I normally would simply because I've been on summer break and am bored to no end. |
