Hi, I am an F6 visa holder and want to try my hand at private teaching. How do I go about registering and what does it entail? Or is it even possible on an F6? I want to actually be able to advertise. I did do a search for this, so apologies if it has already been covered many times. Thanks in advance!

It's possible on a F-6 to private teach. I've been looking forward to this as well, I'm just waiting to change my visa status. Do you even have to register as a business if it's just a few students?

Legally speaking you are supposed to alert the government of your supplemental income when you file taxes, whether you're teaching one kid or one hundred. You would be registered as an "individual business person" (개인사업자). Practically speaking, no one registers their income from privates. You're not likely to get caught unless you do a lot of them. OR if you start advertising online; I've heard that sometimes people working for the government will pose as someone advertising for a tutor in an attempt to catch those doing it illegally. The safest way to do it is to go through people you know. Getting privates online can be risky.
