OK, I hear there are three to four reggae bars in Hongdae, so where are they?
I know of one called Jamaican King toward the Hapjeong side and another called Roots Time.
Thanks in advance! |

The Reggae bars in Korea just downright suck. This country just doesn't do chill vibes no matter how hard it tries. You want that kind of vibe you'll have to go to SEA. No such thing as a Reggae bar when everyone is drinking piss laced Cass. |

In my experience, SEA reggae bars are full of gap-year rich kids, sporting their henna tattoos, temporary dreads and who are totally clueless about the music they are listening too.
I've been to Roots Time a few times and always really enjoyed it in there. The owner knows his stuff and has a genuine passion for the music, as do most of the punters and guest DJs. The atmosphere has always been great there. A lack of the green stuff does not necessarily a crap reggae night make. |

Hell if I know.
Ive been looking for a sound system for years here.
One in Busan, but theyre not very friendly.
Then again, when I spot off about Lee Scratch, Mad Prof, Tubby, most of the people
get glassy eyed.
I want THAT kind of place. Harder to find... |
