What area are you looking for? Seoul is big.
Your best bet is probably HBC. Go see all the 부동산 in the area. If you can't find anything, look for a room to rent in a shared place. Again, near Itaewon is going to be easiest for that kind of deposit. |

Ah yes, hyperbole, like in the thread where you said that you make more than most uni teachers (which is 3.0) while working fewer hours. We're still waiting to hear about your amazing job. |

Some yes, most no. professors yes (although I've never met a uni teacher who didn't describe himself as a professor). A uni teacher is a hokwon teacher working for the extra holiday. Only an ESL professor would accept 30K/year. |

Some people never change no matter how hard they've convinced themselves otherwise. |

I have dozens of uni teacher friends (and no, only the ones with PhDs call themselves professors, and they get 42-45 million a year because of it) and only 4 of the non-MA holders get under 36 million. These are people who work in Seoul, Incheon, and Busan. Perhaps in outer provinces pay is lower, but I'm talking about main cities here.
IPIC, going to enlighten us with your amazing job now, or keep on stalling?
Anyway, we've veered off track, and for that I apologize to the OP. IPIC, if you want to enlighten us, go ahead. Otherwise, have a lovely day. |

She quite clearly says she has dozens of Uni friends, some of whom are professors making up to 45 million a year. Jeez! I like to think you're being deliberately obtuse, for the purposes of trolling, but you never know on Daves |

Well, here's how you know IPIC is an idiot. His moniker would have you believe he's rich enough to buy stuff with cash (i.e. he's rich.) The most amusing part for me is that truly rich people use debt to their advantage, meaning, though they might have the ability to pay for something "in cash," that's actually quite stupid financially.
So basically, IPIC chose a moniker where he'd have you believe he's rich, but he clearly knows nothing about money. (Although apparently he makes 4-5 million per month despite working less than 20 hours per week. Ok.) |

Some university jobs pay upwards of 80 million per year and some of us long-timers see our university gigs are a means to get out of the house because we're semi-retired thanks to our wise investments. Just keep that in mind. |

4-5 million won per month is not rich. Nowadays, it's very middle-class.
I personally know someone who invests so much in the stock market that it affects the value of stocks and another who's to inherit a billion dollar business when his father retires in a couple of years. That's rich. |

Jesus H. Christ. Rich as an English teacher is not the same as rich as a venture capitalist. Regardless, my point was about IPIC being rich was that he's short-term cash-rich (if you can even believe his claims) rather than long term wealthy. |
