I once used posterous.com where I could upload files for students to download.
Does anyone know a site similar to posterous.com? I want to be able to post files for students to download easily. |

I use Dropbox for this.. I right-click a file or folder, hit 'Share Dropbox link' and a web link pops on my clipboard so I can paste it in email or wherever. Easy-peasy, since uploading is done in the background. And this way, when you want to share more files with the same people, you just put the files in the same folder and they follow the same link as before. No need to do anything special.
Anyone with the link can download the files. They don't need an account for the service, which is nice.
If the files are sensitive, Dropbox has a more secure way of sharing, but both parties would need accounts. This is the way all the other sharing services work.
It's free, up to 5 gig if I remember right. |
