Wow. I have evil thoughts and revenge plots, but this is getting into narc and rat territory.
How about asking the question?
If the authorities offered it, would you turn in ________ for 3,000,000 won a pop?

And
E) Pirates of Somalia So what?
Imagine you are a nurse in a huge hospital. You did your 4 years at university and landed an okay job. You've been working at the hospital for the last 7 years but wages have been frozen for the last 5. Then eventually you and some of the other nurses find out that 30 of the 180 nurses at the hospital never attended university, and some of them forged there way into the system by hiding their past criminal backgrounds.
Imagine all those jobs that were available several years ago. You could save 60 percent of your pay but now it's down to 30 percent. Forget overtime, that has gone to the high school slackers now turned 23 years old, and the guy who once had an address at Block 69 Cell 2214, alias #3314449.
I don't think that it would put a nurse anywhere near being a narc or a rat if the nurse reported these drifters. It would benefit everyone; the hospital, the nurses, and the patients. Better conditions/environment for the hospital! Better pay for the qualified nurses! Better care for the patients! |

That would say more about the excessive, and in this case needless hoops people need to jump through to secure a mediocre existence. And in this hypothetical scenario, it says even more about the shit economy and the people working to drive down wages to line their own pockets. If your job sucks, someone who sneaks through the system isn't the perpetrator, they're a scapegoat. |

I don't think the hoops are that bad when then payout is rewarding. The economy may be **** but someone thriving by means of criminal activity doesn't justify the case. If I found out my son's middle school teacher was a high school dropout, I wouldn't be a happy parent. If I wanted the dropout teacher kicked out of the school I don't think it would be making a scapegoat out of the teacher. |

Haha, 3m would be tempting. I don't actually think I would unless I thought the person was a real dick and deserved it. In that case, maybe... |

Should the purse have been 5,000,000 won? Maybe my CASS wallet doesn't match the Champagne tastes of the browsers on the board. |

Squealing on a fellow traveller in a foreign land? The fact that the score, at this point, is 11:5 for, is not surprising. This board is peculiar in the fastidious, prim and proper (and unthinking) posters that seem to dominate the threads. At least it is now. It never used to be.
Squealing on your peers is NEVER acceptable. If you think it is, you are on the wrong side of the border. |
