I am interviewing with Samyook schools tomorrow afternoon over the phone and would appreciate any useful advice that anyone can give. I am going to tell them about my volunteer experience and ask questions about class size, student age range, teaching materials, and what I can do to prepare to perform well at the job. Any advice?

Best advice is to don't stress.

The interview is more about what you sound like than your skills or teaching philosophy.

It is NOT like an interview from the HR department at home.

Do you know kimchi?
Can you use chopsticks?
Why do you want to go to Korea?

Speak slowly and clearly. Good intonation and excitement is important. (You do not want to come across as momotone.) Make sure that they are in control of the conversation. (E.g. May I ask you a question? Then make it as simple as possible. Don't ask too many questions.) I f they are Korean, it may be difficult for them.
Greet them inKorean (show them that you are trying...annyong haseyo!)

Good luck to you!!

Maybe pre 2009 recession type interview. If it's public school, they'll grill you hard. (I've heard almost an hour phone interview or skype?) But, when I got here before the crash, those were literally the type of questions I faced for all 5 minutes. Ha ha.
