Obama says U.S. will take military action against Syria, pending Congress’s approval

Quote:
President Obama said Saturday that the United States has decided to use military force against Syria, saying last week’s alleged chemical weapons attack there was “an attack on human dignity,” but that he has decided to seek congressional authorization for such a strike.

. . .

White House officials have said they are only contemplating a limited, brief strike and have pushed back on the contention that such a move could drag the United States into a new prolonged conflict in the Middle East.

Under the Constitution and War Powers Resolution, President Obama has no choice but to consult Congress. Nevertheless, its likely Great Britain's recent example of representation in action, combined with the unpopularity of the proposed strikes here in the US, which moved Obama to seek Congressional authorization.

Just let the sunni's and shia's kill each other!

Like they're doing now in Iraq - I feel SUPER BAD FOR THE KIDS AND THE WOMEN, but at the end of the day - whoever does go in and try to sort it out will get no thanks in the long run from the Muslim world!

Title should read: "Obama seeks vote from Congress to give him a way out of the corner he's painted himself into."

Thats not exactly true. The muslims were very grateful that Clinton bombed his own ally the serbs.

^ Whoever thought that this was a good photo op, should be fired!

He just needs to bend over a little more, put his right hand on the chair and his left on the desk and then he's fully ready to 'take one for the team!'

The guy in the background is trying really hard not to look at his sexy little bum too!
