Hey guys!

This is my first time posting here and I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on getting custom made shirts in Seoul. I've been really impressed with how so many people dress according to their body types, which really got me thinking about doing the same.

I'm primarily looking for normal button down shirts I can wear. I might also want to buy a shirt for my suit there as well, so if you know a good place I'd be happy if you recomended a shop or two Smile.

Thanks a lot! Very Happy

I have a shirt tailor in Apgujeong I can recommend if you like, but before this place gets bombarded with tailor recommendations, let me say that I urge you not to go to Hamilton shirts. I had a shirt made there a few years ago, and the fabric felt like paper. It even creased like paper. It was awful!

Here's what I'd do, depending on how much I have to spend:

<100,000 - Follow a recommendation in Seoul or visit one of the Itaewon tailors. Most use the same Chinese fabrics and even the same factory. They take measurements and place the order.

100,00 - 300,000 - Online made-to-measure from a place with a good reputation like mytailor.com. Here you can choose any fabric type and all other details on the shirt. Great selection and value.

>300,000 - Go to HK and visit Ascot Chang, WW Chan, or Gordon Yao.

I can recommend this place: https://www.facebook.com/fromchloehong
I have a bunch of good friends who've gotten clothes (shirts, suits, skirts, etc) made there, and they're all very happy with them.

I'll probably get some done eventually, I just have enough clothes right now.

I used to work with a guy who had all of his shirts and suits tailor made. What amazing shirts! I was always impressed but then when he told me how much he was spending, I went with what I already had at the time. Fortunately, I don't have to wear a tie anymore.

I highly recommend J Jin Homme. I got 4 shirts and 2 suits made from them, and they've been the best custom made suits I've ever gotten.

There are multiple locations, but the one I went to was near Shinnonhyun Station.

Good luck!

How much would a decent pair of tailor-made pants run on average?
