http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/nation/2013/09/113_142433.html
This links shows that the Foreign English teaching devils in public schools schools have committed a total of 25 crimes over the past 5 years. There are approximately 5000 Public NETS in Korea, so this translates into a crime rate of about 500 per 100,000. However, as it's over a 5 year period, it's an annual crime rate of about 100 per 100,000.
Korea in general has a crime rate of 1347 per 100,000.
So, the average Korean is 13 times more likely to commit a crime, than your average Foreign English teaching devil. |

Not really surprising. Teachers working here are required to have degrees and the levels of education among criminals is usually significantly lower than the average in English speaking countries. |

I guess it is not something to cheer but there is an article about suicides among firefighters in Korea underneath the article. A firefighter is more likely to commit suicide than a foreign public school teacher is to be caught committing a crime. |

500 per 100,000? Im actually surprised its that high. I find that embarrassing since were supposed to be role models and act like "guests" and everything (whether we like it or not). The number SHOULD be zero. |

Keep in mind that, unlike with Koreans, the foreign teachers at public schools in Korea are a transient lot. It's not the same 5000 teachers over a five year period. Most do a year or two and go home. So the actually numbers of foreign teachers at PS's during that period was probably between 10,000 and 20,000. That's a lot more teachers 'not' committing crimes. |

Hehe, don't go there. Us foreigners have a very cosy relationship with the cops and we'd like to keep it that way. |

Koreans who read that article are unlikely to make that connection.
It gives no background.
All the article basically says is that foreigners are criminals. |
