My Crc is due to expire on the 22nd, and of course chuseok happens to be taking up the lead into that weekend. Im kinda boned right?

I think ive become damaged goods to recruiters because none of them are replying to their listings any more! Eeep! Crisis! crisis!

Horrendous situation to be honest since I spent all my savings getting my Tefl in thailand so i could score a public school position right after. Figured id have 20 days after the tefl finishing, but turns out public schools drag their heels from application submission to finding out about interviews. So anyone need an emergency air drop? Ive got realistically 2 days to go from interview to contract before its wild panic stations. I mean, its already wild panic stations. But this is a doozy. Smile I can even fly over to help speed things up.

For the record, amazing track record, no broken contracts, 7 years ps teaching experience (elem-middle), 2 in korea, amazing references. Tefl qualified and arguably the most energetic teacher outside of genki richard. But with clearly poor decision making skills since ive got 2-6 days to find, interview and get a job Smile

ETA, about china?

How long from app to job? I see upwards of two months... is this a realistic average time frame for the Z visa? Or is it more often the longest youll end up waiting?

Really? must be the rambling... Smile Applying from Thailand (just finished my Tefl here).

Basically in summation, need job... well, did need a job, turns out that unlike in Korea where it can take well over a week to find out you didnt get the job, I interviewed today for a job teaching middle school in China (Tianjin) and whaddaya know... formal offer by close of business today. Pay is decent as well, 12,000, all holidays etc, and of course exactly the group i want to teach - middle school. Plus massive city, but by the beach... cant be too bad?

And then just as i was getting used to the idea, a recruiter that i figured had stopped replying, contacted me out of the blue to tell me that a public school position id applied for two weeks ago would have a decision tomorrow for me.

My life is a soap opera. Im fairly certain i havent got the EPIK place of course, no interview, just docs submitted to the ed office, but its nice that theres always these radical twists and turns in life.

Its okay, search is over. Have a job in China, if i can figure out what on earth im being asked in the Orientation Test A... Smile Dont mind the idea since its pretty much in a huge city but wont be plagued by smog thanks to the coast.
Still yet to find out about the epik place though. And in an extra twist, one of my friends said his employer in Saudi was looking for 25 teachers and he'd put in a good word. So er, dont fancy that much, but money might be a rare treat Smile
