They were able to drive up and take out the meth dealer and his fully-armed thugs quickly and efficiently a few episodes back, doesn't make sense this would happen

This is the same gun that Terry Crews used so famously ("Remember this ish at Christmas!!) in The Expendables. It's an absolute MONSTER at that range.

Gomez and Hank should have been chum within seconds.

However, what's nice is that they've been quickly resolving/continuing these situations within the first few minutes of the follow-up episodes.

AMC just announced it's planning a prequel series about the rise of Saul Goodman called "Better Call Saul".

Could be hit or miss, but alas I'm swaying towards "miss"

So we now know that Saul doesn't get killed if they're making a new series for him.

That ending was not done well. I kept watching and watching and wondering when are Hank and Gomez going to bite it? It was just completely stupid how long they stood there without cover, until they moved to the truck, and didn't get hit.

How are they going to resolve that on Sunday?

One hint might have been the way that Hank was speaking to his wife on the telephone after he called her to gloat about finally capturing Walt. The tone of that telephone conversation may have been similar to a final goodbye.

I can't believe Walt isn't dead, either.

The series is a prequel, so we don't know if he lives or not.

Great point!

So you're saying that even if he dies in this series, bringing him back is okay with you.

I wouldn't like it. I'd prefer Saul to have been a survivor and would like to have some sort of reference to his past for the depth and believability of his character.

I didn't offer an opinion either way. I was merely pointing out that the spin-off does not signify anything about what happens to Saul in Breaking Bad.

I believe it. He took the baby because he really loves his family and she was a connection to them. Also, he took the baby for leverage against Skyler.

The van he drove off in, it is either a cleaner for Saul or perhaps the van-guy is some relation to Mike, like a brother, either way it is not safe. But Walt will escape somehow.

Someone earlier suggested he will save Jesse. I agree with that scenario.

Walt will walk away scot-free of charges at the end of the show, there is not enough evidence to convict him, but he will be alone: with cancer. And his family is going to abandon him.

Yeah, the van guy is the disappear guy - from Saul. You may have missed the episode where Jesse backs out of disappearing, but he is definitely the guy that gives you a new life/id.

What a way for Jesse to end up. Cabled leash tied to a lab. I believe everyone got what they wished for.

By "cleaner" i mean killer. I saw the episode with Jessie. I think the ID and disappearing story is a scam. The van guy sometimes (always?) kills the customer. And, i think he might be in cahoots with Saul, or else he is Mike's brother. But Walt will figure it out and escape.

What are you basing that on? I think that part of the story is pretty straight forward: walt is going to disappear and come back for whatever reason(s). I don't think there is anything to the van other than him getting a new id.

And that phone call was an act.

We know that Walt lives because we see him a year later. He goes back to his house, has hair, his neighbor is in shock when she sees him, and the inside of his house has graffiti.

Skyler knew it was an act too. She has a card or two left to play herself.

Perhaps the ultimate downfall will be hers?
