(Seriously. Where do the Japanese post job ads?)

(Also, do they make you go through a medical to get their equivalent of the E-2? If so, do they have competent staff?)

How long have you been abroad? The (streets paved with gold for NETs) Japan window closed about five years before the Korean window, 1990. I'm not talking about just your regular job here when I mention streets paved with gold, I'm talking about the serious and plentiful 50,000 won per hour at any time you choose money. I'm talking about being approached for conversation practice on a daily basis. Offers left and right. Choosing from a pick of 4-5 jobs every time you start looking on the FIRST DAY. Twisted Evil

I'm assuming this is an attempt at wit. Look, this is so done. You've already lost the argument and the cut-down battle and you do know that others are reading this, and the more you post, the more you look like an idiot. But hey, some people need the attention I guess.

Anyway, let the record show that this clown Transmogrifier would now like to discuss things going into his ass. Anyone want to give him some advice about it?

I'm not sure I would like to discuss it, but you're the one who bought it up. My butt was well out of the conversation until you decided to make it part of your wonderful theory. My butt is flattered, but is not really interested, alas. Not really its scene.

2/10

Is this what qualifies as funny these days? I hope not.

I'll give him a 3/10 just because I'm a good sport, and the fact that he's almost certainly a sore loser.

(Especially after all his talk about things going into his ass...)

Anyway, moving on to breasts... Japanese may win by a small margin, but Koreans win the long legs contest. As always, it's hard to find both on the same girl.

Cheers, Mixy. And keep those paragraphs coming along. I'm proud of you. (one thing though: join the parenthetical statement to the previous paragraph. There is not need to separate it from the main idea).

Remember, folks: when you've lost an Internet jousting battle and you've got nothing else, you can always keep trying to milk the pseudo-intellectual grammar nerd shtick that's been done to death already by thousands of others before you. That's sure to impress.

Or, another option: expressing absolutely no self-awareness, perspective or humor, keep replying to someone who is obviously just winding you up because he thinks you have no self-awareness, perspective or humor.

Both have their pluses and minuses.

Anyway, because you are pretty boring to interact with on a daily basis, here is a summary before I go seek some more stimulating conversation with my potplant:

1. The "internet battle" that you "won" (sorry about the quotation marks) consisted of you whining about Korea again, me questioning why people spend so much energy whining about Korea over and over on the internet, and then you making assumptions about my motivations, whining about Korea some more, and then declaring yourself the winner. An interesting (relatively) way of arguing that avoids the question and reinforces your annoying tendencies? Check!

2. I then decided it was time to see if I could figure out myself why someone would be so mindlessly combative. So I decided to just keep replying to you about a trivial issue in a deliberately light-hearted, non-insulting way. So paragraphs became the topic of choice. In the course of our "banter," which on my side was, again, deliberately non-aggressive, non-insulting and calm, we had you again question my motivation and present your image of me as fact, suggest that I like sticking things up my ass, again reiterate that you won some big fight, boasting about yourself, and all the while (and this is the most intriguing result) you have a habit of addressing your posts to the audience, rather than me, as if you're performing for some unseen mass. All in response to innocuous comments about writing.

So finally, I think you answered my original question, albeit not directly; I do now truly understand what makes someone like you want to come onto the internet and summarize all the things you can't stand about a country again and again and again.

I thank you for your time. You are now free to concentrate on other important internet skirmishes that require your immediate attention and subsequent declaration of victory.

^Wow. Issues.
I thought we were done already.

The meltdown above explains it: apparently I've been arguing with a vindictive, menstruating teenager the whole time. My mistake.

But..."mindlessly combative"? The irony...

1. You started it by coming onto the thread attacking everyone else for their relatively harmless opinions. I responded to your temper tantrum, which was probably a mistake, as then it got personal for you apparently.
2. It takes two to tango and you kept trying to bait me with the grammar nonsense and perverted talk about your ass, and now try to flip it around as though it were me that brought it up instead of you. (Unfortunately, I saw through both the baiting tactics: It was obvious you were just being a deliberately bothersome troll).
4. Everyone gets into it on the Internet once in a while, but you in particular seem to have a history of insulting just about everyone on all sides of the fence, then carrying on in a stalker-ish kind of way, reappearing again with more insults later.

I hope the discussions with the potplant help out.

TWEET TWEET! GAME OVER! Moving on...

Now, back to J-boobs vs. K-boobs... please...

Very Happy

No Japanese people ever offered me free airfare and an apartment fresh out of Uni, so I never really tried them out. Now that I'm working on my TESOL MA, Okinawa looks like a good fit.

Is it true that Japan has not caught the filthy wretched disease of "English Camps?"

Japan has been done as far as being a prospective TEFL destination for nearly a decade now. Nothing but the carcass remains. Unless anyone here would love to go teach in Japan for 1.8 Million Won a month or a little more if you're lucky. GABA, greasy ALT dispatch companies, and NOVA (the re-birth of the former bankrupt NOVA), and others are offering rock bottom deals to anyone interested! The TEFL situation in Japan is absolutely depressing and things won't be changing anytime soon there.

Do the Japanese schools commit as much payroll, pension, and tax fraud as the Korean schools?

The cheating in Korea is getting out of hand. I can't believe the things going on in 2013. Are the crooks not afraid of getting busted? How can they keep getting away with breaking the law? Is the disincentive to rob and steal not great enough?

My personal experiences have led me to conclude that Japanese are more polite, friendlier and warmer towards strangers, tolerant of foreigners, and overall more knowledgeable of other cultures.

Having said this, I still prefer Korea by a landslide.

Warm, friendly and tolerance towards outsiders is NOT how I'd describe Japanese people.

You got it wrong.
