I'm thinking of leaving from Seoul on Wednesday morning by bus to travel to Jeonju. Will Chuseok traffic be bad by then? I was hoping to return on Friday or Saturday. |

I don't think you could pick a worse timeframe. Maybe Tuesday evening would be worse. Happy travels. |

Yeah travelling on the Wednesday is a bad idea. The best time to travel down would be first thing Thursday (I'm getting the 6AM Seoul-Daegu bus), when everyone's at home doing Jaesa.
The traffic travelling back is a bit unpredictable due to the length of the holiday, but I personally decided to avoid Sunday. |

It depends on the direction, and you're going in the wrong direction at the wrong (right?) time. Going to big cities on Tuesday-Wednesday is easier. Getting out of big cities is easier on Wednesday night-Friday-Saturday. Neither way is ever great for a good five days or so, but people tend to leave the big cities to go their family homes in the countryside early, and head back to the cities later on. If you're going the other way, it's not so bad. |

Thanks. Actually was thinking of traveling to Gunsan Wednesday morning from Seoul. That sounds like a bad idea, right? |
