That's a lot of adultery (and other forms of cheating) going on. |
Yeah, I guess penetrating your smart phone can be seen as a form of cheating. Sure. |
pretty sure he means that carrying two smart phones means: one for wife/husband, one for girlfriend(s) / boyfriend(s)
I know a few that are rolling with this one, men and women. |

Now now, that 2nd cell phone might be because they are cheating but because they are secretly running a meth empire and shipping 'Kimchi P' to North Korea.

I remember substituting for a grade one teacher. When I entered the classroom, I was greeted by the sight of a couple of boys duking it out over possession of a smart phone.
Upon determining ownership, I gestured to the owner to put away the phone. He responded by shaking his head. I repeated the request, and the wall of non compliance continued. I walked over and took the phone away from him. The impact of this action was not unlike a patient who had just been removed from life support. He immediately fell to the floor and began hyperventilating and flailing about.
As far as I'm concerned, unless the phone is being used for day-trading on the KOSPI, I don't want to see it. |

| I have a few favorite scenarios I like to fantasize about. One of them is winning millions of dollars. Another one is the abolition of personal hand-held electronic devices. Not home computers. Just phones and stuff you carry around with you. I HATE my phone, always have. Back in the 90's when I got my first cell phone, I likened it to a tracking device. |

In my university classes, if I caught my students texting, or hear the phone ring- I would charge them 500 won. (Vibrate mode was OK, provided they could get off the phone in 20 seconds or less.)
Today, people in the cinema were playing with the phone during the flick. They really need to get a life!!
BTW, I find Kakao group-chat to be somewhat annoying. I like to turn my phone off here and there for a pile of hours of peace and quiet. |

On the two phone issue: lots of people I know have 2 cell / smart phones.
One is their personal phone and the other is a work issued phone. That work issued phone is the bane of your existence by the way. I had one and managed to get rid of it because it was like being on call 24 hours per day.
As for kids and smart phones, the addiction has existed for years. It is in many ways how they socialize, get information, listen to music, talk to each other. The smart phone seems to have become the nexus of their social life. |

I say Sir Edward, this new book reading indulgence is really getting out of hand. Why yesterday I beheld a lowly butcher spending his idle time reading a book. I even understand that there are now 'book clubs' where groups of people gather to discuss these trifles. Such distractions and idleness amongst our peasantry surely spells the doom of our civilization.
Constant updates and people sitting around the dinner table texting away annoy me too, but we have to buck up and deal with it or end up being a dinosaur like that helpless old person who can't use the self-scan at the grocery or even an ATM. |
