So I'm taking my girlfriend to Seoul, hailing from the east coast. I haven't been there in ages so I don't remember much. Any recommendations for - you've guessed it - something a bit more romantic, will be much appreciated. Or just cool places to hang out at in general. Good Italian restaurant suggestion is a big bonus
Seoul Tower is what I have "down" so far.... |

The only decent Italian place I've been to in Seoul is Al Matto, in Haebangchon. There's a fancypants Italian place on Namsan called Il Vino Rosso but my personal opinion is that it's overpriced. However, it is very popular with Koreans. Guess it depends on whether you want style over substance. |

It's not exactly central, but there's a really reasonably priced Italian place with good ambiance and authentic food located at SNU: http://www.seouleats.com/fine-italian-food-at-jina-and-franco-trattoria/. I went there pretty frequently when I lived in Korea and was never disappointed. The service also tends to be better than you typically get in Korea, particularly for the price. |
