OP,
if you come to Japan, forget Tokyo since it is too crowded, or Nagoya,
since the drivers are the worst in the country.

Weekends suck for shopping around Tokyo. So, I like shopping on my vacations, during the week. I hate crowds.

I tell you, in Amerca, I drink less. In Korea or Japan, I need to drink on the weekends.

wrong. as they say, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

... you might want to rethink your entire existence ...

tldr: become an adult and realize that it won't change anywhere you go unless you are back in the safety and comfort of your magically perfect home country. after you become an adult, learn to cope.

ps. if the things the op mentioned bother you, never go to places like india or the middle east.
uh ... i told the OP how i cope. if you were addressing me specifically as opposed to the topic or forum as a whole, you need to brush up on your emoticon interpretation skillz.

"rethink my entire existence": geez! angry gyopo much?

lol. i'm hardly an angry gyopo. but since you like to use "z" on your skills, i'll say what the internetdudes say. you mad bro?

as for the topic on hand, you could cope by petting a small dog until it was hairless, it's none of my concern. i was addressing the forum as a whole and what i was addressing was the "it's not you, it's them" line. yes i'm sure you said it 100% in jest Rolling Eyes but it's not a good idea to support bad habits and/or thinking when the op is obviously distraught over the extreme bumpage in this crazy little country.

I don't care about the population density, you don't run into people, and act like their not there, it's as simple as that.

Maybe you don't experience these issues because you must be white, or korean have half, so what your saying is usless, because you never have encounted, anything, except your dissillutioned mind is sooo warped that Korea is sooo great.

Plain and simple, when you push people, into a corner, they will react!

Ther are some good Koreans, but the majority are racist, bigots, who treat foriegners with no respect!

You must be a Korean, or hmm a loser who works in the Korean work factory?? Or a dumb foriegner, who from another 3rd world country!!
You must be a Gyopo, who's been disallutioned!!!!!

BTW If America didn't help south korea, in the Korean war against the chineses, and North Korea, there wouldnt be any fuking rich, arrogant , unappreciated assholes Koreans,

The American Military made south korea, have wealthy people!
Wake up!

you might be one of the dumbest people i've read on daves and that's saying a lot.

other countries don't have racism or bigotry? you must live in antarctica...

of course you don't care about population density. worked-up monkeys don't take these kinds of things into consideration.

as much as most of the people who know you wish you actually did live in antartica, you are obviously american. apparently you haven't been to the southern states in america or looked in the mirror (hint: YOU are a racist bigot who treats foreigners with no respect).

and to top off your list of "i couldn't be more wrong if i tried while using awful english" i'm not white. at all. not even a little. Rolling Eyes

Lived amongst the Han tribe in Korea and lived in the wahibbist dictatorship that is Saudi Arabia and I was far less stressed and angry living in the wahibbist dictatorship than I was living with the Han clan.

I feel the frustration aspect is linked to language ability, the inability to put across your thoughts verbally must be incredibly frustrating - my two bob. Sad

When people fear what they don't understand, there is resentment, frustration, anger, suicide, ect,

Korea, fears, or is ignorant what they don't understand and when that happens, rants start to build, anger is mounting, untill one day, you explode.

Maybe it's Korea, maybe not, but all I know when I was back home, I ranted, but never to a point of madness.

If you let it, Korea will make you go crazy Rolling Eyes
I'm not trying to fight with other people on here, I'm expressing the hardships, and painful, situations, that happen to me.

One thing that Korea does that bugs me the most is this...
When one foriegner does something wrong or illeagal,Everybody pays for their sins, or actions, to me, that's communism.
You don't pushish everybody!!! that's my beef with Korea!
The immigration offices, The board of Education, The schools, teachers, owners, and principles, all adapt to this disallusioned thinking,

[ ... ] Funny that you mention Thai boxing and increased aggression. The thing about taking martial arts, etc. is that you now have a set of skills and part of you wants to use them. Getting bumped every day is a nice potential trigger for that kind of reaction. Try not to act on it though.
not necessarily. many martial arts practitioners [my husband, best friend, and their team(s)] wouldnt use their skills off the mat unless they absolutely had to. my husband is a brown belt in bjj (read: has been training for years) and hes never thrown down outside the gym. my best friend is a blue belt, and shes only had to defend herself once.

Ok, but the key part of what I said is that PART of you wants to use it, and that each bump is a POTENTIAL trigger for anger or violence. That's not saying one should or will just kick someone if they get a shoulder bump on the street. However, if you get an aggro guy and 10 other people randomly shoulder bump him without apology (as can sometimes be the case on busy Korean sidewalks), the potential for an incident would certainly increase, would it not? March Nick Diaz down a Korean street and see if the sparks don't fly after a few shoulder bumps. Laughing

There are plenty of responsible practitioners of martial arts that would never abuse their skills, but conversely, there are plenty of aggro nutjobs that would abuse their skills. This is doubly true with the growing popularity of MMA. There are all kinds of people involved in martial arts. Learning martial arts doesn't automatically make someone some kind of peaceful zen master, in fact in some cases it has the potential to make people MORE violent as they have more confidence in their ability to hurt people (not saying this applies to the OP at all).

I always found it strange with martial arts how aggressive people say that it helped them release all their steam at the gym and become calm in situations outside. For me it had the opposite effect but I was a very passive person before instead.

It's a mixed bag with so many variables: the art, the teacher, the student, the environment, etc.

And as for the Martial Arts thing, I have noticed physical prowess doesn't really get anybody too far in Korea. The guys here are more into passive aggressive maneuvers and figuring out how to socially one up each other and dress well then they are about fighting and being athletic. There are gym rats, but they just don't seem to occupy the higher echelons of society. I guess what I'm saying is this isn't really the place where I would expect anyone to respect me for my fighting ability or athleticism. Unless we are talking about volleyball.

This pretty much hits the nail on the head on what bothers me so much here. We come from a society where athletic appearance, size, and fighting ability commands so much respect. If you see Brock Lesnar walking down the street you'd get out of his way not so much for fear (although Brock would look scary in real life) but out of respect. Here you see so many skinny ass dudes with their head raised high and chest sticking out. Back home those guys know their place in society.
