It's all the rage!

Supposedly she's in Cheonan tonight and will be in Suwon tomorrow!

She had a botched plastic surgery job, and the doctor cut her lips way up in the corners (like the Joker). She wears a mask over her nose and mouth.

She goes around asking people if they think she's pretty. If they say, "no," she cuts their mouths to match hers. If they say, "yes," she says their lying and cuts open their throats.

You can't run away because she runs 100 m. in 10 seconds!

My kids were all scared today, so I told them not to go outside tonight. Laughing

Apparently she travels quickly and has been seen in Hanam. I saw this post and thought the story was interesting. I made the mistake of asking my classes about her. They all flipped out. I had to tell them that she is not real, and really console some poor kid. She looked like she was about to cry.
Why is this happening now? This sounds like a Halloween tale 5 months too soon.

Pretty rediculous if you ask me. Next they will be telling each other that you can die from leaving a fan on in your room with the windows closed. Oops...too late.

Two of my classes were FREAKING OUT because of this.

I didn't get the plastic surgery bit, but that makes sense.

Apparently, she will cut your mouth according to your blood type:
type A , she'll only cut 1 cm, type B, a little longer, if you are type O or AB she'll slit your mouth up to your ears!!!!

So if she asks "A, B O or AB", you should answer "H"

All the kids were drawing either crosses or some chinese symbol, on their hands, you know, to ward her off.

There are conflicting reports on candy.
One class said she is scared of it, one class said she eats it in 3 seconds. (???)

Shocked

Ah, that is why in my kids class the students where asking what my blood type is. Wow, I am out of the loop.

I think my kids told me the ghost has a website. Remember the good old days, when all the dead needed was a Ouiji board to communicate with the living? This is what you get when the damned finally get ADSL access.

This Friday, the 14th, the ghost supposedly hits Geoje Island, and my students are scared. The "red mask" from ear to ear is what girls fear. I am a guy so I'm okay. But there's some sort of blue mask where men get their faces ripped off over their heads. But that's not tomorrow.

My younger students are genuinely scared but the older classes think the stories aren't true, and are just "a lie".

In any case, it makes for some good English lessons, tapping into what captivates their interest. "Are you scared? Is it scary? What scares you?" and talking about "blood" and "What type of blood are you?" Most of students today said they were Type O and Type A. I asked them "Who can give blood to whom?" to practice the sentence form (Type O can give blood to Type A, but not visa versa).

It's all pretty fun to use in the classroom.

I'm thankful for this thread. It's another example of how useful Dave's can be.

I asked my mother what I was when I came here and she didn't know. Shocking. I still don't know.

Teacher's Day is the 15th.

I asked my university-aged students about the Red Mask ghost, and they said the same story went around when they were young. Apparently, back then, the way to scare her off was to say "God".

They also told me about the 666 man. He was supposed to catch children when they were alone and burn "666" into their foreheads, which would turn them into demons. If you're feeling particularly evil, you could try spreading that one among your students. Twisted Evil
