Do the older squat toilets have a hose inside the stall for washing the areas? |

no, the older squat toilets are in areas where there is no running water
We do have toilet paper here, though.

Not sure why you ask but your apartment will have a western-style toilet & they are common in public facilities. Squatters are around if you prefer but you never have to go far to find a sit-down unit.
I'd guess that theres not one foreign teacher here with a squatter in their home. Anyone prove me wrong? |

Not prove you wrong, but there's a squatter a couple of meters from my door which I guess I could use if you wanted. |

Silly foreigner, why? My question is perfectly reasonable and not covered elsewhere. I prefer washing to just smearing the shit around. Where I am now, there are squat toilets (as well as western style ones) and all the public toilets have a hose, or at least faucet, in the stall. Other countries I've visited with squat toilets also have a hose. So in my past experience, squat toilet has =ed hose. While in not a deciding factor, its something I was curious about. Thanks for the responses! |

The hose is a good idea though. Paper is not as, er, cleansing. |

I'll have to say, I prefer the Korean design. The "flush" feature is a nice addition. |
