http://seoul.craigslist.co.kr/edu/4122687015.html
so 40 hours/week
- F-Visa only
- 1.9 to 2.3 million/month
- No housing Allowance
- No Pension
- No health insurance
- No Vacation days (only 7 unpaid days)
- No paid Holidays
A first year teacher on an e-2 makes 2.1-2.3 with full benefits (apartment, pension, vacation, holidays etc). Job posting's like this make me cringe. Would any native speaker, with years of experience, and an F-series visa, actually consider a position like this? |

These types of roles are aimed at Filipino Housewives and/or Westerners/gyopos without degrees. Anyone who has an F Visa but could get a E2 shouldn't need to consider this type of role.
However the job market is shrinking and so schools will try there luck and hope for someone desperate. |

This.
Most F visa holders I know don't even work at one place full time |

Yeah, I think the job market has definitely shifted in favor of Employers.
like you said, they can offer substandard pay, and hope someone is desperate enough to take it.
What happens though if the place offering decent salaries now (35-50k/hr)
start noticing a bunch of these competing schools are only paying 15-20/hr? |

| That's not even legal under the Labor Standards Act. I wouldn't even worry about it. Someone is just stupid and I doubt this is where everything is heading. |
