I wouldn't recommend this because korea is getting tougher on the visitor visa being used to find a job.

You'll need:

Notarized rcmp check and notarized degree.

I would suggest seeing if you can get a D10 visa and then come look for work. I did this and it worked out great. It will save you from having to do a visa run to Japan if you come just on a tourist visa, this means you can negotiate for more money and be able to start teaching sooner. The main thing you need to figure out is if the university you graduated from is one of the top 200 in its region. http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/world-university-rankings/ (Click North America if you went to university in Canada or USA)

The D-10 is an OK option. Just not many people can get it from overseas.

Since you are Canadian I am assume you went to a Canadian school so if you came from one of these schools then you might be able to get a out of country D-10

Canada
20 University of Toronto
31 University of British Columbia
35 McGill University
92 McMaster University
106 University of Montreal University of Alberta
185 University of Ottawa

Give me a message to get a link to my D-10 instructions website if you will try.

As to what documents you will need.

A Korean consulate verified Criminal Background Check less then 6 months old.
A Korean consulate verified university or college degree.
Medical self check form filled in. Please really be careful of saying yes to anything.
Finally some money.

Please ask check and read the board some more, it is filled with lots of advice on what to do.

This is taken directly from the Required documents on the EPIK website.

Canada does not adnere to the apostille convention. Therefore Canadian applicant must 1) have their documents notarized by a public notary, then 2) submit that notarized copy to the nearest Korean consulate or embassy for final notarization.

You need to come with:

1) Two written references, from former schools preferably or from academics at the university you went to. You should have multiple copies of the reference. They should be in sealed envelopes and written on paper with a letterhead and signed. Have one of them scanned.

2. A national criminal background check from the Royal Canadian police force that is notarized. Canada doesn't have a apostille treatly with South Korea so they won't apostille them.

3) I would bring your degree certificate with you. Also get some notarized copies, I think those should work.

Pesonally, if I were flying over in a document, I'd come over in an express one as going by surface doument means being crammed up tight in that envelope for a month or so at the bottom of a boat and could be quite uncomfortable.
