wow, for someone with a dream job making boatloads of money, and a smoking hot girlfriend, you sure do post on here a lot. 500+ in less than 3 months, so 6-7 times/day. But I guess all the other E-2 guys are the losers because they make 100-200,000 a month less than you lol

Another obsessed poster whose mind I'm living inside of "rent free."

Sorry but admissions to my fan club this month are currently closed. But you can get in line with all my other stalkers for next months tryouts by registering at IPayInCash.com/fanclub. Promotional code: RENT FREE

I've been to this place before but I had no idea how much it cost. My friend worked at a well known Korean tobacco company and he paid on his business expenses card.

Very cool place, especially the secret rooms in the back Wink Cool

Am I the only one that finds the name of the bar ironic? OP was by himself, as THE ONE.

The chicks had swiped my card for values like 600,000, 900,000, and 1.200,000 won each time I'd had a glass of wine etc....

Of course I returned to the bar..... and protested and.... was very lucky that the ajumma owner agreed with me that I'd been taken for a ride by the aforementioned large-breasted girls and.... she gave me half my money back...

OP,

No, you did not deserve this. I think men have been conditioned in American culture to believe that they deserve being victimized by any scam, while women get a free pass and sympathy from society as victims of men.

Are you gay, by they way?

You mention going in for wine, and I'm just sensing that you were not there for the women but more for the chit chat, am I correct?

Anyways, that is one of the worst places to go for "last call".

Good for you to go back and call them to account for that.

And thanks for posting about this scam. People should be aware of bars like this, although I've never gone in there but definitely won't now.

OP, you can maybe blame yourself for being distracted by nice boobs (who isn't??)...
but you were blatantly lied to and hosed on your bill. THAT part was not your fault.

Let's just be clear: Being a man and being attracted to boobs is not inherently bad. It's natural, so there's no need to apologize for it. You've been guilted and conditioned to apologize for something that is completely natural.

The guilty party here are the thieving women who hosed you on the bill.

Did you sign a credit card receipt?

Try disputing the charges with your credit card company...

COUNTERPOINT: Don't let this lesson deter you guys from all risky decisions. One of my biggest regrets was being singled out by two young ladies on a Seoul side street who said "Two girls, one guy."

I laughed it off, imagining I was about to get fleeced, but in retrospect, it was in a quiet, residential area, fairly early, and didn't stink of hoodwink. Another time, I met a very busty fox at Cheers and cut it off after making out with her in the freezing toilet, thinking we could pick pick it up later and I was being a gentleman. Got a fairly hilarious lashing from her bf the next day when I texted her. Didn't know he existed, and I certainly didn't expect to hear her ranting and raving and crying in the background from an innocent kakao message.

Bottom line: be smart, spare the card, take the 3 some when it's offered.

OP you should immediately stop beating yourself up. You were stolen from as surely as if they had physically lifted your wallet out of your pocket. You are the victim, and I'd even consider making a police report. That you were stolen from is even acknowledged by the fact that the ajumma returned half the money to you. If you thought that you were getting a $5.00 glass of wine for the attention you were getting you were naive, but that's no crime. I was ripped off once too shortly after I came to Korea, but it was only to the tune of 140,000 won. I quickly learned after that, but billing someone 3 million won crosses the line into criminal behavior. Consider making a police report, mention that you have done so to the club owner, and see if they will settle with you. Maybe you can get another million back from them.

As for IPIC, ignore that immature fool. The sooner the mods ban him permanently the better for this site. But next time you enter such an establishment you want to take some advice from his user name and "pay in cash." In the meantime, if you are back in Itaewon tonight take five minutes and pop into the police station and ask if there is anything you can do. This being "let's dress like Psy k-kop land", maybe not, but it's worth five minutes of your time to find out.

Thanks for the heads up.

As an earlier poster said, you should consider a stop payment on this bill. I don't know if the police will do anything but if you got the time, it might not hurt to try.

Good luck!
