I have a bit of an unusual problem.
I'm in the US trying to return to Korea to teach, and I have some things in paid storage. So I need to pay them a monthly fee. They don't have a Paypal account, and they're not willing to go pick up Western Union directly.
I have had a friend in Korea act as an intermediary for transfers, but that's asking them to leave school and go into town during a weekday... and it's really a hassle to have them do that on a regular basis.
So is there any easy method to transfer money from the US directly into a specific Nong Hyup bank account? I did find a list of routing numbers purportedly for Nong Hyup here: http://www.usbanklocations.com/routing-number-026014915.html
Will transferring to one of those with the NH account number get the money to Korea? Or does anyone know a simple way to do this that I'm missing? |

Western Union will transfer money to a foreign bank account. You can also direct your bank to transfer money to a foreign bank account. |

I tried at my credit union, but was informed that my credit union "doesn't do" the type of transfer needed.
I'll look into Western Unioning straight into the account though. Thanks. |
