I live in an office-tel and have one of those electronic locks. For some reason the alarm goes off each time I open the door. I press the button on the inside before attempting to open the door, but it doesn't work.
It's getting really annoying as I have to punch in the code each time I open the door just to stop the alarm. Then I have to punch it in again so it will allow me to close the door if I'm leaving.
It's even more annoying when people come over and I can't just easily open the door for them without going through the process.
Can't even leave my apartment late at night without waking up the neighbors.

Has anyone else had this problem? Know how to fix it?
And if it matters....I don't have a key. Just the number pad.
Thanks

I can't say for sure without knowing the model, but this is just a hunch. Have you tried changing internal batteries to fresh ones?

this means either it isn't closing properly, or more likely it is teh low battery warning like the above post mentioned..

It means low battery. You should also keep a 9 volt battery in your car, because if your lock runs out of battery it will have a contact electric feed you can push a 9 volt against to activate it.
