Did anyone go to the HBC fest this weekend? I used to go but have given the last couple a body swerve. If you went, was it good?

Stuck my nose out for a little bit Saturday night, looked the typical HBC Fest, bad bands in crowded bars, drunk foreigners acting like idiots in the streets (I went out at 7AM Sunday and there were still people being drunk and loud) and police officers trying to keep the traffic flowing but scared sh*tless of dealing with foreigners. Add in Koreans walking around looking at the foreigners like they were zoo animals, especially the ones lined up to get into Jacoby Burger and there you have it.

Nothing new really. What would help if you are going to have this festival is 1) get the cops to block of the street those 2 nights, heck they do it in Itaewon for their festival why not here? 2) If the street is blocked off then maybe the bars etc could invest in renting some port a potties so people don't wind up pissing in the street or on peoples gates.

Glad it was my last one.

I popped in on Saturday. More to see friends than any real interest in the festival or bands but Magna Fall were decent. Saw some other bands as I was passing through OT and Phillies but not really my type of music. More fun meeting random people in the street.

Aren't there two a year now?

I've never been to this event. It sounds like something i would actually like. I would have gone if i'd know it was on!

Why don't people talk about it here before it starts, i only ever hear about it until after. I have to wait another year now.

I've seen Magna Fall a couple of time but I still don't like them. I can see they are good musicians but the music and vocals do nothing for me.

The bottom rung of the "expat" community all gathered in one place, drunk, dressed in rags, acting like clowns, screaming "bro" everywhere, breaking property, and being watched at in disgust by the locals. Unless you want to be associated with these buffoons avoid these events like the plague. I was in my usual VIP section of one of Seouls hottest night spots, with my smoking hot girlfriend and a few of my clients, completely away from that loserfest.

TBPH you don't want to come to it, bars are way too small for the crowds, tons of drunks on the streets, think huge college party.

nice idea that got too big

How so? Everything I said was true. If you went to that loserfest you probably also went to Mudfest. You did, didnt you? Laughing
