I've run into this attitude before. Sometimes Koreans express surprise that a white person would have any complaints about racism here.
The first thing that jumps out to me about the video is that this guy lives in Seoul. In my experience, it makes a big difference where you live in Korea. I think it's possible to live in a big city like Seoul and encounter very little overt racism. Other big cities in Korea are probably similar- Daegu, Incheon, Busan, etc. However, when I lived in a small town in a southern province it seemed like all the negative stereotypes I had heard before suddenly seemed to be much more true. It seemed like as a foreigner I encountered much more rudeness and aggression there. I definitely got stared at a lot more. |

| I was hit by a Korean for talking to a Korean girl at a bar. I was sitting with a friend and she came over and sat next to me and then start talking to me. I can't say for sure if it was because I was white but I have a strong inkling that it was. |

Yes, a lot of Koreans absolutely 110% HATE white people.
In fact, it's really a mental disease that Koreans have. What a sad, sad, life a lot of Koreans lead by walking around so full of bitterness and hatred for white people.
It's ok though, because what goes around, comes around. Since I left Korea, I have told the truth, to anyone who asks me, about the hatred/racism shown by Koreans to white people. |

You hit the nail on the head son. Rural areas actually have a mix of what you described with some nice folks mixed in. My experiences there are a few years old with lots of c-blocking or attempts at it. Some cities are better than others. Seoul and Gyeong-gi are the best for being the least predjudiced. I use to hear Daegu was filled with a lot of rude xenophobes, though I was only there once briefly. Overall, the xenophobia has died down compared to what it was.
Some rural areas will still have c-blocking and girls feeling lots of social pressure not to talk to you. Some places I visit and it's a very normal re-action with lots of stares and friendliness. Other places, I've visited were like a throwback to the past where the chicks stare straight ahead. I always make sure to greet the ladies in those places with a smile and try to chat with them in Korean. I don't want to pick them up; I mostly just want to piss off adjossis and make them stir in their own xenophobic juices. Great for a laugh. Plus it really effs them up when I start speaking Korean to them. (They never expect that.) I don't get mad anymore; I just go to the next town. 
In Seoul no one cares, except for the odd Korean male *beep* who's jealous or resentful. But overall, it's cool. In most mid sized cities and bigger cities things will be fine. Though many may not speak English well. I can speak Korean to a point but not enough to carry a long term relationship or anything like that and would just be frustrated trying. |

Before my apologist brothers chip in, I would like to say that no, there is no racism in Korea - it doesn't even matter if you are white or black - no racism whatsoever. If you have experienced racism, my brothers will confirm that this happened only to you and even then, not because of racism, but because you are a loser of a human being, probably with aids, raping little children in your spare time.
We, in our apologist camp, would like to apologize to our Korean cousins and wives for having witnessed such impure, filthy foreigners on the pure Korean land.
If you witnessed racism in Korea occurring to someone else, please remember that what you have witnessed was nothing more but a proper treatment of an aids-ridden, pedophile foreigner.
I would like everyone to also remember that your country is racist and is filled with racism and racist policies and the fact that it is populated by impure foreigners is the best evidence yet.

 From my experiences this is the case. The white person is always racist and the Korean was just defending himself by swearing and punching. |
