1. The "student" pays to talk to you.
2. The "student" after the lesson leaves with no strings attached.
3. The "student" comes back for more at their own leisure.
4. If the "student" gets bored they move on.
5. The hogwan takes their cut and pay's you your cut of the take.

So the "english teacher" is a prostitute and the hagwon is the pimp. $$$ bills

Anybody working for money is basically 'prostituting' themselves. It's what we 'prostitute' that seems to be more or less morally/socially acceptable, depending on the job. And just like 'real prostitutes', some actually enjoy it/get something out of it, and others do it solely for the $$$. What are you selling?
