Quote:
The ruling and opposition parties spewed stringent criticism Friday after a news report emerged that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called Korea “stupid.”

Quote:
Jun Byung-hun, floor leader of the main opposition Democratic Party, urged the Seoul government to verify the report and come up with a “strong and stern” response if it is true.

I heard that some Koreans want Korea to end diplomatic relations with Japan because of the comment.

Japs are no better than Koreans. Both nations need moral training. And The West needs to learn The Good as well.

Well generally if you act stupid you get called stupid.

Also, it's nice to see that it's acceptable to use racist terms like 'japs' on this site, at least we're shedding the PCisms that have plagued this place for far too long.

Japs isn't racist depending on context. It's like Jews. Drop a hard J and you might get called a racist.

Chinese and Koreans used to refer to me as Gweilo, Lao Wei, Waygook Saram in Canada and the U.S. when I was in my teens and twenties. I would have been fired from my job, probably arrested, and subject to a large fine for using racial-based terms to them in North America even after they insulted me first!

Korea and Japan are fine as they are. Neither needs training.

Who is going to be teaching The Good?

We'll see who is stupid when revolution reaches Japan and you end up in Gulag.

==========================================

Seriously though, if he did do that, that's a big no-no. Heads of state calling other nations stupid really is a major diplomatic faux pas. It would be a big deal anywhere if that happened and there is no excuse for it.

Does the effeminate and hypocritical, "Boo hoo, East Asians have sometimes not shown me the respect and deference which I know in my heart I deserve, so they're all devils!" act from the General Forum really need to leak into Current Events, too?

He's right though, westerners do need help in this regard. He just does not seem to realize that he's one of the individuals in need of such correction. Then again, maybe he does realize it deep down and this was just some cry for help. Maybe even he can sense on some level how neurotic he and his countrymen have become.

Probably not, though.
