Legume85,

they might withold some money (in my case it was 100,000 Won) when you leave to pay your apartment's utility bill that they get after you leave. The same may be true of internet/phone...I can't remember. They are supposed to pay your balance and then forward you the rest...but not many people have been sent a balance forward I suspect. In my case, because I went to work at a Uni down the road, they called me and I came and picked up my remaining deposit a month later.
